One can use the GPS feature to zero the map in to where you are, then the search feature to find restaurants, gas stations, atm machines and transportation access points. One can zoom as close as one wishes, or zoom out to find places nearby.It takes very little to get used to it, and if you travel a lot, there are maps available for any place in the world.
